Shea Duncan is an Australian composer based in New York where he is the Music Director/Composer at the bi-coastal music house, Mophonics.
His music has been featured in global advertising campaigns for Adidas, Amazon, Bank of America, Cartier, Chevrolet, Google, Infiniti, Taco Bell, Target and Uber as well as game trailers for Call of Duty and World of Warcraft which took out the 2020 Association of Music Producers (AMP) award for Best Original Song.
In 2019, Shea composed the music for the award winning virtual reality experience, Nissan Altima Tech Drive. The innovative 360-degree experience premiered at the Los Angeles, Detroit, New York, Chicago and Toronto Auto Shows to critical acclaim.
Currently he is composing the music to his debut feature film, Through The Eyes of Others. The film is a docufiction drama that traces the young dreams and lives of the 2002 class of the elite Baltimore School For the Arts. Directed by Meagan Lopez, the film is scheduled for release in 2022.
He has received official remix commissions from major labels Capitol Records (I’m Gonna Live Until I Die – Frank Sinatra) and Spirit Music Group (Pink Panther – Henry Mancini).
Prior to joining Mophonics, Shea co-founded Sydney based music house, Composr Group. Launching in 2013, Composr Group quickly became a key musical supplier of some of Australia’s biggest and most creative agencies including BBDO, DDB, Droga5 and Y&R scoring campaigns for iconic brands including Campbell’s, Colgate, McDonald’s, Qantas, Vogue and Woolworths.
Shea holds a Bachelor of Music (Composition) graduating from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with first class honours.
